For the human in you

As a therapy student or practitioner, Heal & Thrive provides you with a day of enrichment and emotional integration, by compassionately and creatively exploring:

  • introjects, disowned and shamed parts of your self
  • loss stemming from traumatic experiences
  • the joy of coming into contact with the missed experience informing your traumatic injury
  • revisiting and embracing your wholeness being witnessed in your present fullness, and entertaining the question, what next?

For the therapist in you

As this workshop aims to enrich both the person and the therapist in you, it includes time to unpack the Gestalt fundamentals underpinning the work, and how they unfolded during the session. This way participants also benefit from  professional development with a focus on:

  • Group therapy essentials with special attention to safety, contact styles, the value of resistance.
  • When trauma is in the room Mindful contact, where to go and what to avoid during the work.
  • Tracking and supporting your client while exploring loss and allowing in what's available and new
  • Emotional dysregulation and nourishing regulation skills.
  • Creative experiment in Gestalt therapy— I hope the therapist in you will take delight in the expressive process that the workshop allows; and enjoy another way of working with your client: increasing your resources as a creative Gestalt therapist; exploring various ways to co-creatively bring experiment to life through the use of somatic aids incorporating words, textures, sounds, colour and emotions.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is an offering for Gestalt students at any stage of their journey, and for practitioners, as experiments can be graded up or down to suit participants' individual readiness, willingness and preference for exploration.

For the therapist in you

Relationship therapy is filled with opportunities for arrival, meeting, and nourishment. This 1-Day workshop offers an experiential immersion into the space couple clients occupy, how they move towards or away from each other, and how they go about these movements. Explore how to co-create impactful experiments using your phenomenological sensitivity, alongside sound and objects as aids, to reveal your clients’ conflict dynamics, and explore their possibilities for lively relational contact.

We start by enhancing our phenomenological sensitivity required to delve into the field of the couple-clients and notice their ways of being with each other.

Then, distinct units of work will provide workshop participants with opportunities to enrich their clients’ awareness of their fixed patterns and to experiment with bringing forward disallowed parts of self, as we engage with:

  • the presence and impact of their families of origin in the couple's shared space
  • increasing sensitivity to the effect they have on each other
  • the loss of vibrant parts of self while in relationship, and its impact on the quality of their life together
  • creatively exploring ways to support partners’ differentiation and its effect on their shared space.

For the human in you

Enjoy this opportunity to explore aspects of your personal story as they emerge in your here-and-now relationships and have fun discovering how various objects can support your arrival into relational contact creatively.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for Gestalt students and therapists interested in experiencing couples therapy work and increasing their phenomenological and creative skills in this field.

With great tenderness and delicacy, Esperanza lifted the curtain for each of the participants for corners of our mind and soul that were left in the shadow for us. Intertwining gestalt, art, and other therapeutic approaches, it has supported us both in our roles as therapists and in getting to know another bit of ourselves.

At the end of the event, participants shared feelings of gratitude, calmness, awakened energy, discovered pieces of answers to the question "Who am I?", excitement, understanding, and self-love. Bulgarian Association for Gestalt Therapy, May2024

  • Individual supervision - Appointments as required. Enquire

Supervision is an integral part of the therapist’s practice, essential to satisfy your ongoing accreditation requirements.

In addition to this, as a supervisor I provide a safe and supportive space for replenishment and growth through:

  • Exploring the challenges you are facing in your work, as well as celebrating your presence with your clients.

  • Supporting the effect this rich and demanding work has on you, often seen in experiences including vicarious trauma, being personally triggered into your painful memories and experiences, and compassion fatigue.

  • Both, personal and professional growth from unpacking your familiar ways of working and exploring new ones.

Supervision is invaluable when it allows you to explore who you are; and from this place, how you come into contact with your client. From this perspective, supervision truly embodies the meaning of support and development of your therapist self.
